Denia is a popular resort on the Costa Blanca
The town has one of the most important ports and marinas in the region with a large fishing fleet and ferry connections to Ibiza and Majorca, the port and marina have made Denia quite a prosperous town over the past 40 years.

Visit Denia Castle
Denia holidays are made all the better due to the incredible beaches in the area and the historic center.
The castle is well worth visiting, it dates back to the 11th century, with further building carried out in the 15th century. Enough of it remains intact to make it an interesting place to visit along with an onsite museum and stunning views over the city and coastline.
Enjoy a day on the beach
There are numerous beaches located along the Denia coastline, the best include Les Marines, Les Deveses and the Les Rotes Beaches. Les Marines is about 2 kms long with fine sand.
Les Rotes is located to the South of Denia and is noted for its natural beauty. Les Deveses is the largest beach in the area at around 4 kms long, it has fine golden sand with a normally calm surge. It is prone to get windy at times and therefore a firm favourite with the windsurfing community.
To the north of Denia, you are treated to some 20 kilometres to first-class beaches in the Las Marinas area. One of the best beaches is located at Punta del Raset being ideal for families with a nice children’s play area along with water sports opportunities.
Las Marinas is the most popular with clean sea's and golden sands, it is a firm favorite with families spending days out having fun. Four more beaches are all worth visiting to the north of Denia and include Les Bovetes, L’Almadrava, Els Molins, and Les Deveses.
To the south of Denia, the area along Les Routes offers five smaller bays known as Marineta Cassiana which is the sandier of them all, from there you will find a string of rocky coves known as Arenetes, El Trampoli, La Cala and Punta Negra.
Marineta Cassiana is located close to the marina and the most popular with families, golden sands and clear waters await visitors looking to spend a fun day at the beach, the farthest cove at La Cala is a naturist beach
Another must place to visit during your Denia holidays is Mount Mongto, declared a Natural Park, it is located only a few miles from Denia and offers visitors beautiful walks with a chance to see pretty flora and fauna natural to the area. Look out as well for a variety of wildlife that inhabits the area include eagles, owls and rabbits.
Enjoy delicious gastronomy
Denia has a lovely marina area where sea and fishing boats come and go whilst they mark the rhythm of the everyday life of the town.
There is a well-preserved castle to explore, from there make your way to El Port, a line of attractive restaurants facing the port area. Most of them tend to specialise in local rice-based dishes as well as Fideua which is a noodle-based paella.
Seafood is always a firm favourite and served in many bars and restaurants, don’t forget to try the crayfish ( known as Cigalas ), cooked in salty water or on the griddle or barbecue they are simply delicious.

A small train runs from the tourist information office to the castle, you can check running times on the notice board outside.
