Venue Awards Winner 2021
The Remarkable Venue Awards 2021 are organised by the ticketing platform Tiqets. The awards distinguish cultural and historic sites such as museums, cathedrals, palaces, castles and other iconic attractions.
Between December 1st to January 16th, over 7,000 people voted from a selection of Regional Winners to name their final seven museums and attractions as Global Winners.
The Global Winners Categories include the best museum, Most outstanding place, best site experience, best attraction and the most innovative place. The one other category, Best Hidden Treasure, was won by the Velázquez Tech Museum.

Casa Batllo underwent an extensive refurbishment in 2018 which included the incorporation of a new intelligent audioguide with a soundtrack created by British composer, Dani Howard.
However, in 2021 the team at Casa Batllo inaugurated a brand new highly immersive tour. This includes the Gaudi Dome which boasts over 1.000 screens with imagery that inspired Gaudi growing up as a child. The other area is the Gaudi Cube with its 6-sided cube of LED screens.
