Until recently, Dracaena Draco was regarded as native to Madeira, the Canary Islands and Cape Verde; yet, it’s also found now in the wild locations of Morocco.

The Canary Islands are home to numerous dragon trees, today, the most famous one is located in the village of Icod de Los Vinos.  It weighs approximately 150 tonnes, not including the roots!

There has been much debate over the tree’s exact age, some say it's over 5000 years old; however, recent estimates suggest the tree is around 800 to 1000 years old.
