La Manga Golf Club Resort – Murcia
La Manga Club is located by the popular coastal resort of Mar Menor in Murcia , and now one of Europe’s top golfing and sports destinations. It is home to three stunning golf courses, the North and South courses designed by Robert Dean Putman, the South course being later updated by the Arnold Palmer.
The West course was designed by the late great Seve Ballesteros.
The resort has one numerous golf awards as Spain’s best golf resort as well being the venue for the Spanish Open and the PGA Championships.
Getting to the resort is quite easy as the transport is very good. The resort is located around a 30 minutes drive from San Javier Airport and around 1 hour and a half from Alicante airport. Use the AP7 Autovia in both cases, it is well signed posted, simply head for La Manga de Mar Menor and you will see a sign to turn right when you near the town of Los Belones.
North Course
5.429 meters from the yellow tees, it is shorter than the South Course with tighter fairways and large greens. The course is noted for its palm trees, lakes and storm gullies.

South Course
The South Course is the signature course on the resort and has been home to PGA Championships, Spanish Opens and European Tour Qualifying Schools. It is quite long at 6.177 meters from the yellow tees and is noted for its intriguing dog-leg holes, lakes and well-placed bunkers.

West Course
The West Course is shorter at 5.333 meters from the yellow tees and is a more challenging course than the other two. Noted for its frequent changes in elevation and the need to pass over numerous storm gullies.

There are plenty of opportunities to practice your golf swing and putting at the La Manga Golf. The resort offers an impressive five putting greens, chipping areas, a small pitch and putt course. If you are looking for lessons, there is an excellent golf academy aptly led by the renowned Swedish instructor, Thomas Johansson.
