Most days, there are around 10 to 11 buses departing from Malaga; the journey to Madrid takes approximately 6 hours.
There are several bus companies operating the route from Malaga to Madrid, including Interbus and Alsa.
They run services from Malaga's main bus station to both Madrid's airport and the city's Estación Sur, facilitating easy access to various parts of the capital.
Buses run consistently all year round between Malaga and Madrid. On weekdays and Saturdays, there are 10-11 services, while on Sundays, there are 9 buses.
Departures commence as early as 7:35 a.m., with additional clusters around midday and mid-afternoon. Additionally, a late evening service typically departs shortly after 11:00 p.m.
Departure Station:
InterBus services to Madrid leave from Estación de Autobuses, situated a short walk southwest of the old city and west of the port. Adjacent to the Maria Zambrano train station, it provides bus connections to the Costa del Sol. The C1 bus also follows a circular route through the city centre to reach the bus station.
Arrival Stations:
Madrid has two arrival points. Estacion Sur, a couple of miles south of the city centre, is the most convenient. Here, can quickly access all parts of Madrid using the Cercanias C1 line or the Madrid Metro. Alternatively, buses travel to Madrid's Airport in the Barajas neighbourhood.
