NEWS PRINTS IN SPAIN

There really is a great selection of magazines and news prints on offer in Spain, as you would expect they do vary in quality and content, howevere most of them are actually FREE so its always recomended to keep a good selection of them for quick reference on many subjects.

Since I arrived in Spain some 25 years ago it has become somewhat of a tradition that on the Friday morning you make sure you pick up a copy of the SUR in English. The SUR is in my opinion is probably the best expat free newspaper available in the south of Spain, good quality articles, up to date local, national and foreign news along with other interesting facts on Spain and an extensive classified advertising section make it a must read. However make sure you get to the newsagent pretty early as they do tend to fly out and by mid day are usually harder to find. having said that some of them now offer the possibility of downloading the last issue directly of their web sites.

Of course there are many other good news papers and fine quality magazines in circulation which I tend ( or my wife does ) to pick up throughout the week as and when we find them, in hotels, banks, restaurants etc etc. In fact in most establishments frequented by expat residents and tourists alike you will probably find a free local print to enjoy.

The Olive Press

The Olive Press is a fairly new editon to the ever growing list of English language news papers in Spain. However it is fast becoming one of my favorite reads as the content is is very well presented, well written offering excelent news articles from all over Andalucia and Spain. The online presence is one of the best and is jam packed with the lates news and views and much more.

The Telegraph

More online than a free local print of course. However with the Telegraph you know your getting quality journalism. It now runs an expat section with very interesting information and articles written by their top journalists, a must read..

The Granada-Insider

The Essential Guide To Granada Culture, Events, Nightlife, Dining and So Much More. Insider is a new English language magazine covering events, culture, dining, news and more in Granada. Granada Insider is packed full of useful Granada Info on the best Bars, Music and more. As the website is brand spanking newplease do not be alarmed if some elements of the website require further attention. Enjoy!!!

The Spanish Sun News Paper

The Spanish Sun maybe the largest independently owned news paper in Southern Spain, keeps going from strength to strength....keep it up Jan.

A very informative online magazine with interesting articles, lots of usefull information and much more. A must read for all expats residing in Spain.

Euro-Weekly News

The Euro Weekly ( before known as the Entertainer ) comes out every Thursday and along with its fine web site is another valuable source of information and news in Spain.

The Sentinella Malaga is a free monthly magazine on the Costa del Sol providing local information, business directory and light hearted humour.

In-Madrid

As the name suggests this print is dedicated to the Madrid scene, it is as they say Madrid's number one English-language magazine back issues are also available for download.

CostaLink Magazine

Costa link magazine is a magazine for the costa del sol and includes local businesses, things to do in the area, and interesting articles about life and living in the costa del sol spain. site includes online flip version of the printed magazine

Andalucia

The on line edition of Andalucía Magazine is the Sister publication of the popular Baleares Magazine. Andalucía Magazine reflects the multitude of yesterdays and today's, the Andalucían warmth and lifestyle, the culture, history and art, the business world, leisure industry, and infrastructure. Although you will not find to much on line in formation it is well worth a read.

Soccer Spain

For all footy enthusiasts this is a must see. One of the few places to read up on Spanish football including all the latest results and team info.....in English.

Essential Magazine

One of the first things that grabbed my attention when I first picked up a copy of the Essential Marbella Magazine was the excellent quality of print. This glossy magazine is all you would expect from a glitzy fashion magazine carrying the Marbella brand name

The Broadsheet is a glossy monthly lifestyle magazine covering the best of Spain. The magazine covers a wide range of topics, including wine, golf, motoring, current events, economics, fine dining, music and entertainment.

Costa Blanca News

This is the Costa Blanca's oldest English-language publication. Provided on a weekly basis it offers Spanish and local news stories, sports and a large classified section. The same group started a Malaga publication called the Costa del Sol News.

Costa del Sol News

Covering news mainly as the name suggests from the Costa del Sol. An excellent publication from the same group as the Costa Blanca News. Plenty of local and sports news , classified ads sections and good quality articles.

Number one buy and sell print on the Costa del Sol. Ads are easy to place by calling 901 666 950, or online via their web site. Its also free to advertise in most cases, Thet have alarge circulation which is distributed between Almuñecar and Sotogrande.

Inland trader

Free fortnightly publication in English covering the ineterior of the province of Valencia. Can also be downloadd via the inland trader web site.

Mallorca Daily Bulletin

With special interest to the expat community on Mallorca. Part of thew Grupo Serra this print started in 1962 and makes it Spains oldest English Language news publication.
