San Roque Golf – Old Course

San Roque Golf

The old bit was added after the new San Roque appeared in 2003 and when you compare the difficulty of the two this one is more refined and therefore a tad more challenging. San Roque Old course course is perfect for the lower to middle handicappers.

Playing the Championship par 72 San Roque Old course is real delight and those who have been before will be anticipating finishing their round and heading into one of the most sumptuous golf courses you will find anywhere.

Valderrama Golf Club

Valderrama Golf Spain

Valderrama Golf is considered by many to be then number one golf course on the Costa del Sol and will always be remembered for the 2007 Ryder Cup which the legendary Seve brought to this course.

This is a course of the highest calibre  and a round doesn’t come cheap here but what price do you put on walking the fairways and putting on the greens which have been graced by legends of the game?

La Reserva Golf Club

La Reserva Golf

La Reserva golf  course is rated by many experts as being one of the top 10 courses in Spain, and who are we to argue?

It is the simplicity of the design which makes this course such an enjoyable one to play, along with the few unexpected challenges it throws up along the way.

You wouldn’t expect anything less from one of the leading golf course designers in the world Cabell Robinson, and  he certainly hasn’t let us down with this exception golf course.

Marbella Golf Club

Marbella Golf Resort

The Marbella Golf  course offers a tough challenge for players with a high handicap but still hugely enjoyable this is one of our long time favourite golf courses on the Costa del Sol.

What makes it so appealing is that no two holes are the same so you never get into into a routine and have to be on your toes all the time.

It isn’t officially a championship course which adds to it appeal as it isn’t pretentious in anyway it merely gives golfers a wonderful round in quite glorious surroundings.

Almenara Golf

Almenara Golf

Almenara golf is unusual in that it makes no attempt to go head to head with its famous neighbours within the Sotogrande estate but still offers very good quality golf.

The three nine hole courses are hugely enjoyable and whereas the premium courses are something of a treat this is a very agreeable old favourite.

The club house is a special and a perfect place to grab a drink and something to eat after completing the 18 holes.
