Sotogrande Golf Club

The Sotogrande Golf Club is one of the oldest and most well-established members clubs on the Costa del Sol.  Opened in 1967 i is well designed as you would expect from Robert Trent Jones. The course is located on prime land close to the beach-front between the river Guadiaro and Sotogrande marina.

The royal Sotogrande Golf Club is often voted to be among the top ten golf courses in Europe by top100courses.com and boasts mature vegetation with pine, cork oaks, eucalyptus and giant palm trees enhancing the natural beauty of the surroundings.

The greens are large and the tees are very long allowing for variations in pin placements and the length of hole.  The contours of the greens are typical Trent Jones and the bunkers were the first in Europe to be filled with brilliant white crushed marble. Another "first" at Sotogrande was the use of Bermuda grass on fairways.

There is an adjacent nine-hole par-three course where the dark green trees of the fertile Guadiaro river valley and the outline of the distant sierras also create a lasting impression not to mention the help it provides in improving in your short game.

Luxury golf holiday packages to the Costa del Sol would not be complete without including a round at the impressive Sotogrande Golf Resort.
