Lanzarote airport, despite its modest geographical position and size
it still handed over 5.6 Million passengers in 2006 with some 50.000 Flights,
and although it has experienced some serious growth in the last 10 years,
the traffic only grew by 2.5% over the previous year 2005.
Departures traffic is divided between TERMIAL 1 (T1) for domestic and international flights and TERMINAL 2 (T2) for inter-island flights.
In T1 the departures area is on the first floor. There are forty-two standard check-in desks in total and one for special baggage.
Here you will find a range of shops and refreshment facilities and the Guacimeta VIP lounge. From the boarding area, passengers proceed to the twelve
boarding gates that operate in T1. T2 has 6 check-in desks and 4 boarding gates (P1, P2, P3 and P4). In the departures area there are numerous shops and a cafeteria.
