Airport Information:
The Federico García Lorca Granada-Jaén airport is located in the district of La Vega del Genil
10 minutes drive west of this ancient and picturesque City.
This is one of three regional airports that processes around 1 Million people in 2006, however
this airport is expanding and the increase of 26% in passenger traffic over 2005 proves this.
Expansion work is currently in progress to accommodate the increase.
Iberia operate daily shuttle flights to Barcelona , Madrid, Gran Canaria and Palma.
Low cost carriers Monarch and Ryan air have both opened up at the airport this last year flying
regular UK flights. Check out for good deals with both those companies as Granada is only a 2 hour drive from
Malaga and all the popular resorts of the Costa del Sol, and only a 30 minute drive from Motril and the
Beaches and resorts of the Granada coastline.
