Baviera Golf is located at the eastern end of the Costa del Sol
The Baviera Golf Club is located at the foothills of the Sierra de la Almijara mountain range approximately 45 minutes drive east of Malaga airport.
The course was designed by the world renowned professional golfer Jose Maria Canizares. A great player in his day winning 5 European Tournaments, 2 world championships as well as participating in several Ryder Cups.
Baviera Golf is situated at the Eastern end of the Costa del Sol and is the last main golf course before Granada and is in a perfect location within a valley that boasts an enviable macro climate, ideally suited to golf. It is also just 500 meters from the Caleta de Velez beaches and its stunning marina.
The club is easily accessible from Malaga and the western Costa del Sol via the AP7 Coastal highway. It is just 30 minutes drive from Malaga Airport ( exit 274) from the Málaga-Granada-Almeria motorway.
Baviera Golf is an even course characterized by its wide greens and subtle undulations which make you think about your putts on almost every green. Although not a long course it does offer a good variety of holes with enough obstacles to make you play quite a large range of strokes making it suitable to players of all handicaps. The course is walkable for players who prefer not to use buggies.
There is a new impressive club house that many larger upmarket resorts on the coast would envy, the prices though are not upmarket and are very reasonable with the pleasant surroundings second to none. There is usually a good value golfers menus on offer for around 10 Euros for a 2 course meal.
There are large locker rooms and shower facilities , underground parking and a nice modern restaurant on the top floor which has a beautiful terrace overlooking the 18th and 10th holes and the surrounding countryside.
