   Airport Information:  

The Asturias airport is not yet that well known to the International air traveller as 95% of the passengers here are domestic ones. The airport feeds this beautiful part of northern Spain including the lovely areas of Gijon, Ovieda, Candas, Piedras Blancas, Mieres, Langreo, Grado and Pravia.

Passenger traffic is on the increase and Easyjet now offer a daily flight from Stansted. It handles some 1.3 Million passengers in 2006 which was an 8% increase on 2005, this figure is set to rise steadily over the coming years.

Due to its relatively low passenger numbers it is a comfortable and user friendly airport with 12 check in desks and 9 boarding gates.

There are a few shops and one main cafeteria.
