Alicante Airport is one busiest Airports in Spain and growing steadily as the increase in tourism and new property owners along its beautiful coastline continues to grow.
Last year ( 2006 ) some 8.9 Million passengers where processed with over 76.000 flights. Most of the visitors where via international flights.
Due to the ever growing passenger numbers a new Terminal 2 ( T2) has now come into operation, this modern and spacious area now has 4 new
boarding gates terminals which takes the total number at the airport to 16. The T2 building is a temporary set up whilst the construction of
New terminal area is under way, however expect few delays or inconveniences as the whole project is being well managed.
The Main Car Hire Companies represented at the airport such as: Avis, ATESA, Centauro, Europcar, Europa Car, Hertz, Sol-Mar, Auriga and Record Rent a Car.
The offices of these companies are located on the lower floor of the ARRIVALS terminal.
